For Internet Explorer 7, 8 and 9, the instructions directed users to open the browser, go to Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Advanced, check Override automatic cookie handling, set both First‑party Cookies and Third‑party Cookies to Accept, then click OK, and OK again.
On Firefox, the guidance was to open the browser, select Tools > Options > Privacy, choose Use custom settings for history, check For Google Chrome, users were told to open the browser, navigate to Tools > Options > Privacy Options > Under the Hood > Content Settings, check Allow local data to be set, uncheck Block third‑party cookies from being set, uncheck Clear cookies, and then close all.
On Mobile Safari for iPhone and iPad, the steps were to open Settings, select Safari, choose To restart Safari, the notice said to press and hold the Home button for around five seconds until the display goes blank and the Home screen appears, then open Safari again.
