SVT names KAJ’s Jakob Norrgård Sweden’s spokesperson for Eurovision 2026 Grand Final

SVT, the Swedish national broadcaster, has announced that Jakob Norrgård of KAJ will announce Sweden’s votes during the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 Grand Final. Sweden is the latest country to confirm its spokesperson for 2026. Norrgård steps into the role a year after KAJ represented Sweden at the 2025 contest in Basel with the song Bara bada bastu, finishing fifth.
“It feels both honorable and a little surreal to be able to hand out Sweden’s twelve. It is truly a dream come true so I intend to do my utmost and maximize every second in the frame,” Norrgård said. Sweden’s previous spokespersons have included Sarah Dawn Finer (2009 and 2012), Eric Saade (2010 and 2019), Carola Häggkvist (2021), Frans Jeppsson Wall (2024) and Kristina “Keyyo” Petrushina (2025).
The 2020 contest was cancelled. SVT’s confirmation keeps Sweden’s preparations for the 2026 Grand Final on track, with Norrgård set to deliver the country’s votes during the broadcast.
