Reports tip Aryan Khan to play younger SRK in King; no official confirmation yet

A fresh wave of buzz around Shah Rukh Khan’s action spectacle King has sparked talk that Aryan Khan may step in front of the camera to portray a younger version of his father’s character. The prospect, widely discussed in industry circles, remains unconfirmed by the makers.
According to recent reports, King is aiming for a December 2026 release and will include several flashback sequences charting the early years of Shah Rukh Khan’s character. Those scenes are expected to carry both high-octane action and emotional heft—fueling speculation that Aryan could feature in a pivotal stretch if he takes on the role.
The film, directed by Siddharth Anand, has been one of Bollywood’s most closely watched projects since it was announced. It is expected to mark Suhana Khan’s big-screen debut alongside her father. The cast reportedly features Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor and Raghav Juyal in important roles.
Fans have long noted Aryan’s resemblance to a young Shah Rukh Khan, a comparison that resurfaced during the launch of Ba***ds Of Bollywood, when many on social media remarked on their similar features and expressions. That likeness has added to the belief among some that Aryan could convincingly play a younger avatar of SRK in King.
Despite the growing chatter, there has been no official announcement regarding Aryan’s participation. Neither the actor’s team nor the film’s producers have confirmed whether he is part of the project. Aryan Khan has already moved into the industry as a director.
He made his directorial debut with Netflix series Ba***ds Of Bollywood: Season 1, a seven-episode satirical drama backed by Red Chillies Entertainment and starring Lakshya, Raghav Juyal and Bobby Deol. The show also includes cameos from several major personalities, including the Khans, Karan Johar, SS Rajamouli, Emraan Hashmi and Arshad Warsi.
Season 2 has been officially confirmed and is in development. If the speculation proves accurate, King could deliver a first-time father-son collaboration on the big screen—and, with Suhana Khan also on board, a rare family team-up. For now, fans await an official word as anticipation around the film continues to build.
