Red carpet rolls out as 2025 ARIA Awards open in Sydney with star-studded lineup

The red carpet is unfurled and the 2025 ARIA Awards are underway at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion, drawing a who’s who of local and international talent for Australian music’s biggest night on Wednesday. Nova’s Tim Blackwell and Triple J’s Concetta Caristo are co-hosting the ceremony, which highlights the year’s best in homegrown music.
Organisers said the sold-out event will also feature a stacked lineup of Australian artists, including Alex Lahey, Baker Boy, G Flip, Keli Holiday and Missy Higgins. Fresh from a Grammy nomination and the chart success of her single Man I Need, Olivia Dean is slated to take the ARIA stage for the first time on Wednesday, adding an international spotlight to the proceedings.
This year’s nominees span emerging and established acts: Ninajirachi, Amyl and The Sniffers, Missy Higgins, Royel Otis, The Kid LAROI and Dom Doll are among those in the running across key categories. Sydney rock mainstays You Am I will be inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame during the ceremony, a milestone moment on a night celebrating the breadth of Australian music.
The ceremony continues through Wednesday night, with performances and the Hall of Fame tribute set to be among the evening’s highlights.
