Pre-dawn blast damages shopfront in Laç; no injuries reported

A pre-dawn explosion damaged a shopfront in the northern Albanian city of Laç on Sunday, 10 May, police said. No injuries were reported. According to preliminary information, the explosive is suspected to have been placed on the metal shutter of a shop door in a service complex.
The blast occurred at about 03:00 and caused only material damage to the business premises. Police services and an investigative team arrived at the scene shortly after the incident was reported. Under the direction of the Prosecution, investigators are carrying out actions to fully clarify the circumstances and legally document the case, with the aim of identifying and apprehending the perpetrator or perpetrators.
Authorities have not released further details. The investigation remains ongoing in Laç, within the municipality of Kurbin.
