NVIDIA and Disney Reveal Real AI Robot at GTC 2026, Showing the Future of Physical Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence is rapidly expanding beyond traditional software, and the latest demonstration from NVIDIA and Disney shows how AI is entering the real world.
At NVIDIA GTC 2026, CEO Jensen Huang presented a real robotic character created together with Disney Imagineering. The robot was trained using advanced simulation technology and artificial intelligence models developed by NVIDIA.
Instead of being manually controlled, the robot learned how to move, balance, and interact with its environment through AI training inside virtual simulations before being transferred to the physical machine.
This technology is part of NVIDIA’s robotics and physical AI platform, which includes simulation engines, AI models, and processors designed for humanoid robots and autonomous systems.
According to NVIDIA, the future of artificial intelligence will not exist only in computers and smartphones. AI will control real machines, robots, vehicles, and interactive characters used in entertainment, industry, and everyday life.
Disney is already experimenting with robotic characters that can walk freely, react to people, and behave like animated personalities, opening the possibility of fully interactive theme parks in the future.
The demonstration at GTC 2026 shows that the next stage of AI development is physical intelligence, where artificial intelligence can act in the real world, not only in digital systems.
Experts believe this technology will play a major role in robotics, entertainment, manufacturing, and autonomous systems over the next decade.
