Man United weigh Tchouameni move as £100m price touted for Elliot Anderson

Manchester United’s summer plans are beginning to take shape, with a £100m-plus valuation being placed on Elliot Anderson and a renewed look at Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni among the headline developments. Midfield remains a priority area for the club, with several targets under consideration and contract talks ongoing with a key academy graduate.
United have been told they would need to pay more than £100m to land Anderson this summer. At the same time, according to the BBC, the club are pondering a move for Tchouameni once again. United pushed for the France international during his Monaco days before Real Madrid secured his signature.
He will enter the final two years of his Bernabéu contract this summer, a juncture that could shape any negotiations. Elsewhere, United have been linked with 16-year-old Eduardo Conceicao, with reports suggesting the club are ready to offer £34m for the teenager.
In Italy, Tuttomercatoweb reports United are in a three-way race for Atalanta midfielder Ederson. Atletico Madrid are said to be leading the chase, with Inter also interested, and United have made initial contact. Atalanta are reported to want between €45m and €50m (£39m–£43.4m) for the player.
Kobbie Mainoo is closing in on a new contract, while transfer market reporter Fabrizio Romano has said United will not go for “small names” in their midfield search. On his YouTube channel he said Tchouameni is “appreciated” at Old Trafford, alongside Anderson and Sandro Tonali, but added there is no indication Real Madrid are prepared to let Tchouameni leave in the upcoming window.
United’s young midfielder Jim Thwaites spoke about the experience of being involved with the first team after being an unused substitute in a 1-0 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge over the weekend. On the pitch, United’s push for next season’s Champions League received a boost when Chelsea suffered a 3-0 defeat to Brighton in midweek.
Erik ten Hag’s side are next in action on Monday, when they host Brentford at Old Trafford at 8pm.
