Les Misérables arena spectacular adds 2026 casting, sets Dublin, Birmingham and Royal Albert Hall dates

Cameron Mackintosh has announced additional casting for Les Misérables The Arena Concert Spectacular, which will return to the UK and Ireland before heading to New York in 2026. Developed from Les Misérables: The Staged Concert, the arena production caps the musical’s 40th anniversary celebrations, while the London production continues at the Sondheim Theatre.
The new dates follow a record-breaking world tour that opened in Belfast in 2024 and has sold more than a million tickets across 30 cities in 25 countries. Among the latest additions, original company member Peter Polycarpou will play the Bishop of Digne in Dublin, Birmingham and London.
WhatsOnStage Award winner Rob Madge returns to the production as Bamatabois across the 2026 tour stops. In New York, former Javert Philip Quast will appear as the Bishop of Digne.
The company also includes Kelly Agbowu, Amelia Broadway, Mary Jean Caldwell, Harry Chandler, Rosy Church, Gabrielle Cummins, Beth Curnock, Jade Davies, Jordan Lee Davies, Jonathan David Dudley, Bryony Duncan, Harry Dunnett, Thiago Phillip Felizardo, Charlie Geoghegan, Nic Greenshields, Christopher Key, Michael Kholwadia, Andrew Maxwell, Jill Nalder, Lisa Peace, Emma Ralston, Ciaran Rodger, James Sillman, Geddy Stringer, Raymond Walsh, Danny Whitehead and Owain Williams.
Young performers will alternate in the child roles, with Cian Bhalla, Alfie Buck, Mateo Casado, Oliver Maurice and Nicholas Teixeira sharing Gavroche, and Saskia Sibley, Sophia Travers and Maya Sharma sharing Little Cosette. Casting for Little Cosette in New York is to be announced.
At Dublin’s 3Arena from Friday 29 May to Saturday 6 June 2026, Jean Valjean will be played by Killian Donnelly and Gerónimo Rauch, with Bradley Jaden and Jeremy Secomb as Javert. Matt Lucas will appear as Thénardier, except on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May when the role will be taken by Luke Kempner.
Marina Prior will play Madame Thénardier until 1 June, with Helen Walsh taking over from 3 June. Katie Hall will appear as Fantine, Jac Yarrow as Marius, Shan Ako as Éponine, Beatrice Penny-Touré as Cosette and Christian Mark Gibbs as Enjolras. At Utilita Arena Birmingham from 11 to 14 June, Jean Valjean will again be shared by Killian Donnelly and Gerónimo Rauch, with Bradley Jaden and Jeremy Secomb as Javert.
Matt Lucas will play Thénardier alongside Helen Walsh as Madame Thénardier, while Samantha Barks will appear as Fantine. Jac Yarrow, Shan Ako, Beatrice Penny-Touré and Christian Mark Gibbs continue as Marius, Éponine, Cosette and Enjolras respectively. At the Royal Albert Hall in London from 18 to 21 June, Jean Valjean will be played by Alfie Boe, Killian Donnelly and Gerónimo Rauch across the run.
Bradley Jaden and Jeremy Secomb share Javert, with Matt Lucas as Thénardier and Marina Prior as Madame Thénardier. Samantha Barks will appear as Fantine, joined by Jac Yarrow as Marius, Shan Ako as Éponine, Beatrice Penny-Touré as Cosette and Christian Mark Gibbs as Enjolras.
The production is scheduled to play Radio City Music Hall in New York from Thursday 23 July to Sunday 9 August 2026, where Philip Quast will appear as the Bishop of Digne and casting for Little Cosette is to be announced.
