Kuwait intercepts 17 hostile drones in 24 hours; no injuries reported
Kuwait City, April 7 — Kuwait’s Armed Forces intercepted and dealt with 17 hostile drones in the country’s airspace over the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Defense said on Sunday. No injuries or material damage were reported. Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi, the ministry’s official spokesman, said the aircraft were handled in line with established procedures.
He did not provide additional details about the drones, but noted that all actions followed approved protocols. During the same period, the Engineering Corps’ Inspection and Disposal Group responded to 15 separate reports of shrapnel, Al-Otaibi added. Those operations were also conducted under approved safety procedures, according to the statement.
The Armed Forces reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining high levels of readiness and vigilance, emphasizing continued efforts to protect national security and ensure the safety of citizens and residents.
