IDF issues evacuation warnings for nine south Lebanon villages ahead of strikes on Hezbollah

The Israel Defense Forces issued evacuation warnings for nine villages in southern Lebanon, telling residents to move at least one kilometer away ahead of airstrikes the military said would target Hezbollah. The instructions apply to residents of Tayr Debba, Aabbasiyyeh, Burj Rahal, Maaroub, Barish, Arzoun, Jannata, Zrariyeh, and Ain Baal.
The warning called on people in those areas to leave immediately and distance themselves by at least a kilometer. “In light of the Hezbollah terror organization’s violations of the ceasefire agreement, the IDF is forced to act against it with force and does not intend to harm you,” army spokesman Col.
Avichay Adraee said in a statement. He urged residents to comply with the evacuation instructions. The announcement said the strikes would target Hezbollah, which the Israeli military describes as a terror organization, and emphasized that the warning was intended to keep civilians out of harm’s way as operations proceed.
