Dusty skies and isolated storms in Cyprus forecast through midweek

Cyprus is heading into a dusty, changeable stretch of weather, with isolated showers and a chance of storms in the coming days, the met office said. Light dust is expected to persist until Sunday. On Saturday, increasing cloud later in the day may bring isolated rain, with the possibility of an isolated storm mainly over Troodos, according to the met office.
Winds will range between 15 and 30 km/hr, strengthening to up to 40 km/hr along the Limassol coast. Overnight skies will turn mostly clear, with temperatures dropping to around 11°C in Nicosia, about 15°C in Limassol and Paphos, and near 10°C in Troodos. On Sunday, clear conditions early on are forecast to give way to growing cloud, with isolated rains or even a storm expected mainly in Troodos, Kyrenia and parts of Nicosia.
Temperatures are set to reach around 27°C in Nicosia, 25°C in Limassol and Famagusta, and 23°C in Paphos and Kyrenia. From Monday to Wednesday, mornings are expected to be mostly clear before cloud builds again, bringing local rains and isolated storms, mainly in Troodos and Famagusta.
The met office noted a chance of hail during storms. Temperatures will drop slightly on Monday and remain close to seasonal averages through midweek. Residents are advised to monitor conditions as dust lingers and thunderstorms remain possible, particularly over higher ground and in the east.
