Dhurandhar 2 hits $30m in North America, tops UK and Australia; third-highest Hindi grosser globally

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has crossed a landmark in North America, becoming the first Indian film to top $30 million in the region and surpassing the long-standing benchmark set by Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. The film has also overtaken Pathaan to become the highest-grossing Indian release in the United Kingdom and set new records in Australia and New Zealand.
Excluding China, Dhurandhar 2’s overseas gross stands at approximately Rs 423 crore, placing it as the third highest-grossing Hindi film globally. It has already outperformed Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Pathaan in overseas collections but remains short of Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan overseas lifetime of Rs 482.54 crore.
The film would need about Rs 59.54 crore more to match that mark—a difficult target as collections taper; on Day 37, overseas earnings were roughly Rs 0.50 crore. New releases such as Bhooth Bangla and regional titles are also reducing its international screen count.
Despite those headwinds, the film is on the verge of becoming the second highest-grossing Indian film of all time worldwide, needing around Rs 46 crore to surpass the Rs 1,810.60 crore lifetime total of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. Unlike earlier record-breakers Dangal and Secret Superstar, which leaned heavily on China, Dhurandhar 2 has built its global tally on traditional overseas markets, especially North America and the UK.
It has achieved its overseas total without a release in the Gulf countries or China, where films like Pathaan and Jawan typically post significant numbers. North America has been the film’s biggest international driver, contributing over Rs 215 crore ($30 million+).
Within that, Canada delivered a record-breaking $10.14 million (Rs 85 crore), making Dhurandhar 2 the highest-grossing Indian title ever in the country. In the UK, it has grossed around Rs 55.50 crore (£4.39 million), and in Australia it set a new Indian-film record with Rs 46.22 crore (A$8.255 million), surpassing its own predecessor, Dhurandhar.
In New Zealand, the film collected Rs 6.62 crore (NZ$1.295 million), becoming the first Indian release to cross the NZ$1 million milestone. As Dhurandhar 2 nears its 40-day theatrical run, the durability of its late-stage box office and the pressure from new releases will determine whether it can close the remaining gaps to Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s overseas benchmark and Baahubali 2’s all-time worldwide total.
