For Internet Explorer 7, 8 and 9, the notice directed users to Tools, then Internet Options and the Privacy tab, where they should select Advanced, override automatic cookie handling, and set both first‑ and third‑party cookies to Accept before confirming with OK.
Firefox users were told to open Options, go to the Privacy section, choose Use custom settings for history, and check The guidance specified keeping cookies until they expire and then saving the changes. In Google Chrome, the instructions pointed to Options, then Privacy settings under the Hood, and Content Settings.
Users were asked to allow local data to be set, uncheck Block third‑party cookies from being set, and ensure Clear cookies was not selected before closing the settings.
For Mobile Safari on iPhone and iPad, the notice said to open Settings, select Safari, and set It also outlined returning to the home screen, reopening Safari, and, if needed, restarting Safari by holding the Home button until the display goes blank and the home screen appears.
According to the notice, cookies must be enabled for the page to load; otherwise, the content remains inaccessible.
