Azerbaijani deputy PM-led delegation leaves Aghveran; Armenia’s MFA confirms visit

An Azerbaijani delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev has left Aghveran, Armenia, after staying at a hotel there, according to a reporter at the scene. Police blocked the road leading to the hotel and journalists were not allowed to approach the premises.
There were reports that Mustafayev met with Armenian businessmen during the visit. Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that a delegation led by Mustafayev had arrived in the country, adding that an additional press release would be issued. Earlier, Azerbaijani media reported that the trip was a state visit.
Mustafayev chairs the State Commission for the Delimitation of the State Border between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Further details of the visit have not yet been released, with the Armenian MFA indicating more information will follow.
