Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan’s spy comedy Udta Teer set for Sept 11, 2026 release

Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan will headline Udta Teer, a spy comedy slated to reach theatres on September 11, 2026. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the date on Thursday, noting that the makers have set the film for a 11 September 2026 release. Backed by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment, Udta Teer continues the banners’ collaboration after Kill, Gyaarah Gyaarah and The Lunchbox.
Adarsh described the project as a high-energy spy comedy bringing Khurrana back to his humour-driven space, this time with a spy-genre twist. Udta Teer is written and directed by Akash A Kaushik, marking his directorial debut. The producing team includes Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Guneet Monga Kapoor and Achin Jain.
Khurrana and Khan are also paired in Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, alongside Rakul Preet Singh and Wamiqa Gabbi. That comedy-drama, initially planned for a Holi release, has been shifted to May 15, 2026 to accommodate additional post-production work and the shoot of a pending song.
With two films featuring the duo scheduled for 2026, further details on Udta Teer and Pati Patni Aur Woh Do are expected in the coming months.
